Part of my motivation for writing technical content is the exposure to technology advances that I enjoy. This is especially true when such advances bring great benefits such as crop yield improvements or energy savings.
A good example was an article I wrote for Kohler Uninterruptible Power, titled ‘Optimising UPS energy efficiency under all conditions’.
Savings in this area are particularly important, as, according to Power Engineering International, data centres are projected to consume one-fifth of the world’s electricity – and UPSs contribute significantly to this demand.
