After obtaining a BSc. (Hons) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, I gained professional experience and became a Chartered Engineer with the IEE, now the IET.

My early experience involved designing and commissioning process automation systems, working for Express Dairies and Alfa-Laval. I then moved into industrial control system product management and marketing at Taylor Instrument, and then sales of VMEbus boards and systems at Dage (GB) Ltd, where I became Manager of their Systems Division. I then ran my own VMEbus and Industrial PC boards and systems business until I accepted an offer from Anders Electronics PLC. I joined them and built up their Systems business as a derivative of their core STN and TFT display sales activities.

In 2004 I left and started Charig Associates Ltd. Since then I have enjoyed the satisfaction of growing my customer base steadily, and of seeing my copywriting generate market presence and sales enquiries for my customers.
